ABSTRAK

State Madrasah Aliyah in Pulang Pisau District is a formal educational institution that is characteristic of Islam, able to attract public interest to entrust the problem of education in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri. With this required the role of Supervisors Madrasah and Head Madrasah for efforts to improve the ability of teachers in terms of learning so that required the supervision, both academic and managerial. This research was conducted in 2 Madrasah Aliyah Negeri in Pulang Pisau district, using descriptive method with qualitative approach which aims to describe clearly about the phenomenon being studied. Data collection through observation, interview and documentation study, subjects in this study were 2 Madrasah Principals and 1 Madrasah Supervisor, data analysis was done through data reduction process, display data and verification, to check the author's data validity by testing the data validity, triangulation And the use of reference materials. The result of the research shows the implementation of academic supervision of the Head of MAN Pulang Pisau: (1) planning, involving the teacher in formulating the program, (2) execution, observing the teacher during class learning, (3) evaluation and follow-up by assisting and guiding the teacher less maximal in learning . Supervision approach is done directly by giving direction, guidance and example to teacher. Implementation of academic supervision Head of MAN Maliku, (1) supervision planning that is not maximal because it does not involve teachers in making supervision program, (2) supervision implementation by observing classroom learning, (3) follow up by giving guidance and appreciation for teacher, supervision implemented With a direct and indirect approach, the problem of supervision comes from internal teachers and external teachers by providing solutions in the form of guidance and direction. Implementation of Madrasah supervisors supervision: (1) Program planning supervision by making instruments, (2) Implementation of supervisory program by conducting guidance to Head of Madrasah and teacher, (3) Report of supervision result by filling instrument of assessment. A collaborative approach to supervision by Madrasah Supervisors.
