ABSTRAK

Tailah, Principal Supervision Approach in the Development of Teacher Professionalism to Integrated Islamic Education Institutions (Case Study on SDIT Al-Khair Barabai), under the guidance of (I) Dr. H. Burhanuddin Abdullah, M. Ag and (II) Dr. Ahmad Salabi, M.Pd, at the Graduate UIN Antasari Banjarmasin, Islamic Education Management Studies Program (2017). Keywords: Supervision, Headmaster, Professionalism Teacher, SDIT. The guidance of the principal as a supervisor greatly determines teacher performance. Through the principal's supervision approach can improve the professionalism of teachers in teaching and learning, character, morals, and commitment, and social skills. This study aims to determine the principal's supervision approach, what are the factors that influence the principal's supervision approach, and what are the achievements of the principal's supervisory approach in guiding the professionalism of SDIT teacher Al-Khair Barabai. The type of research is field research (field research) which is descriptive. The research data is divided into two, namely primary and secondary data, primary data obtained in the form of oral words and behavior of the subject related to the approach of educational supervision, while the secondary data in the form of documents, photographs, and objects that can be used. The research data was collected through observation, interview, and documentation. Data is analyzed by descriptive, that is by describing with words or sentences to get conclusion, while the technique of checking the validity of data is done by examination based on four criteria: (1) Credibility, (2) Transferability, (3) Dependability, and (4) Confirmability. The study found that: (1) the principal supervisory approach was done by directive, that is by giving direction, guidance, practice, and example. Collaborative approach, namely by cooperation and provide motivation. As well as a non-directive approach, by providing opportunities for teachers to be more creative and innovative; (2) The approaches are conducted according to the ability of different teachers, so the principal also takes a different approach in supervising the teachers; (3) Supervisory approach of Principal SDIT Al-Khair Barabai can improve the professionalism of teachers and give positive results, and make schools more advanced, superior, and recommended for parents to send their children to school.
