ABSTRAK

This research is moitivoted by the difficulty student solve systems of linear equotions in two variables as well as the importance factor of interest, focilities, and fomilies in learning mathematics. The purpose of this study were (l) identify the difficulties students solve systems of linear equotions in two voriobles and (2) know lhe influence of interest, facilities, and fomilies of student mastery in solving systems of lineor equotions in two variables. The study involved 97 students of Madrasah Aliyoh Negeri I Cape Tabalong District as a respondent. The data in this study were collected by using an instrument that includes four dimensions: (1) system of linear equotions in two variables,(2) interest, (3) facilities, ond (4) fomily. Test results showed that the instrument shows the value of alpha cronbach more than 0.5 so that the instrument fit for use in research data collection. Data analysis using regression wilh the calculation using the progrom SPSS 16. Ihe results showed thot students had difficulty in changing the form of equation with variable coefficient multiplying (step l), the difficulty in eliminating the variable of equations (step 2), difficulty in substituting the value of the variable and write the set of completion (step 3). In addition, the mastery of student affected by the factor of interest, facilities, and family.
