Laila Minrohmah. 2015. The Analysis of Students’ Mastery on Derivational Process of English Noun at the Sixth Semester of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin. Thesis. English Department, Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teachers Training. Advisor: Drs. Sa`adillah, M.Pd. Keywords: Mastery, Derivation, Noun This research describes about students` mastery on derivational process of English noun and their difficulties at the sixth semester of IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin. The population the sixth semester students of English department of tarbiyah and teacher training faculty at IAIN Antasari Banjarmasin is that consists of 114 students. The sample of the research is 57 students. The data is collected by using the techniques of observation, test, interview, and documentary. Data processing in this research is divided into five phases: editing, scoring, classifying, tabulating and interpreting. All the data are analyzed descriptively, quantitatively and use inductive method to make conclusion. The result of the research shows that the students` mastery on derivational process of English noun is in low category based on calculation mean of the test is 52.63. After Analyzing from the test to find students` difficulties, the writer found that the difficulties is noun derived from adjective (47.06%), noun derived from verb (41.18%) and noun derived from noun (11.76%).
